The consequences to lying.

There are very serious consequences that can occur just because of lying. When you lie you are not being truthful to the person you are talking to. Doing so can cause a great deal of distrust between you and the person you may be lying to. I have had a few times that lying caused many problems for me. A problem that I had when i lied once was a big problem. One day my brother and i were in our backyard throwing around a baseball. We both were having a good day, and we both were having a good time until i had threw the ball too far and it smashed through one of our windows. My mother came running out of the house screaming at us. She had asked of which one of us smashed the window, and we both lied about smashing it. My mother then grounded us both for lieing about what we had done. She had told us that we would both be grounded until we told her the truth. Finally my brother and I both told my mother what really happened and she was happy that we told her the truth. We were both ungrounded for telling the truth, but we still had to fix the window. So telling the truth is good.
